Hamilton County Ovi Task Force And Madd Southwestern Ohio Announce Holiday Impaired Driving Crackdown And Tie One On For Safety Campaign
Hamilton County, Ohio - In connection with the twenty-fifth anniversary of its Tie One On For Safety campaign, The Hamilton County OVI Task Force will conduct several saturation patrols throughout the holidays. These patrols focus on apprehending alcohol- or drug-impaired drivers and seat belt violations. The Task Force has operated one OVI checkpoint this month and will conduct another in December, with the goal of preventing persons from operating vehicles while impaired. The Hamilton County OVI Task Force is comprised of 24 Hamilton County police agencies and is funded by a grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services (OCJS).
Friday DUI checkpoint locations

A drunk driving checkpoint will be held somewhere in Hamilton County on Saturday night.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol will announce the location and time on Saturday morning, according to the patrol's Georgetown post.
Most operations occur between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m.
The word is one will be on the Beechmont Levy in Cincinnati's east side.

Friday DUI checkpoint locations

- The Hamilton County OVI Task Force will conduct a checkpoint in the 6500 block of Colerain Avenue in Colerain Township from 11 p.m. until 2 a.m.
- The Butler County OVI Task Force and state troopers will conduct a DUI checkpoint on Ohio 73 near Radabaugh Road in Lemon Township, a rural area of Butler County. The checkpoint will operate from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Police are required to publicize checkpoints where they are looking for impaired drivers. Patrols near checkpoints are usually stepped up.

DUI checkpoint Friday
A drunk driving checkpoint will be held in Butler County on Friday night, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The time and location of the checkpoint will be announced Friday morning. Police are required to publicize checkpoints in advance and usually do so in phases.
Most checkpoints occur between 11 p.m. and 3 or 4 a.m. and are accompanied by added patrols.

Two separate DUI checkpoints will take place Friday night in the city of Blue Ash, according to the Hamilton County OVI Task Force.
The first one will run from 8:30 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. in front of 10461 Kenwood Rd., the task force announced Friday.
A second checkpoint will begin just after that one ends, from 11:30 p.m. until 1 a.m. on Kenwood Road between Cooper and Hunt roads.
At the same time, police patrols will be stepped up in the area between 6:30 p.m. until 3:30 a.m.
Blue Ash police will be assisted by officers from Cincinnati, Delhi Township, Fairfax, Golf Manor and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Members of Hamilton County's OVI Task Force are helping the Butler County OVI Task Force conduct a day-long "blitz" Friday by saturating Ohio 4 looking for impaired motorists. That operation will run from the Hamilton County line in Springdale to Lake Erie Boulevard in Hamilton until midnight. It is part of a state-wide crackdown on Ohio 4.
Then, on Saturday, police will be back out all across Hamilton County on the lookout for drunk drivers and other violators.
